well nothing concretely has changed for me from last 8 months but I am a transformed person …why ?? I don’t know really, its just so happened that i am offered a job that i badly wanted although not in the exact field I wanted but the same industry (Sigh)

I have now started thinking more positively, I was never a pessimist I would add. My optimism was just hibernating and was revived coincidentally at the same time that i got an offer. Why are we psycollogically challenged at times and pretty active at other times. what makes the a person’s mind as strong as will of man possessed. I don’t really know but I believe it is to train the mind every day in and out to take difficult challenges and never give up come what may !!!

I was in France was 1.5 years and could not speak much of french without disgracing the language in every 3 seconds of it when i tried using it. When I set foot on french soil, I promised to myself that I will learn french and add it to my armour. Today it seemed like a very ambitious plan, much like an English player winning the wimbledon !!

First Postcard from England

As a child in India, I was always mesmerized with England, whenever its mention came up I used to be in awe and think that it would be generations ahead of India. I always use to admire UK as it had ruled half of the world despite the fact that many fellow Indians curse them for ruling over our country for 200 years. Not that , I don’t admire it as much but having spent my last 7 months in the country has given me a lot more to think about and compare the two countries.

one of the striking features between the both countries is the projection of oneself. English culture comes to mind when you think about modesty and self deprecation, while Indians try to show themselves as righteous and self -boasting manner. Sometimes I think its because when people are well to do (such as English) they tend to play down their achievements while people who do not have much to show for (such as we indians) start bragging about to cool off their egos. well that may sound to be an exaggeration and may be is slightly but nevertheless captures the essence of people’s general mentality.
